Great Fall Hiking Trips
Even if you got your direct tv nfl sunday ticket free you shouldn’t spend ALL of fall sitting in front of the TV! If you’ve got your eye on a great autumn hike take our advice and check out one of these terrific fall destinations.
Highlands, NC: It’s incredibly close to the Appalachian Trail and the town itself has lots of quaint hotels and restaurants. Plan ahead as rooms book up early during leaf season or stay outside in a campground to save some money.
Maine: The tip of the US has some of the best leaves in the country and the state has more hiking trails per capita than any other. Watch out for moose and dress warmly but make sure you stop for pancakes somewhere you can get some Vermont maple syrup!
Salt Lake City, Utah: If you happen to be on the west coast make SLC your home base while you hike in nearby parks. The scenery is unreal and if you plan your trip early enough you can avoid any terrible weather and actually get a pretty cheap room rate.
